Osnabrück has good transport connections.

The city is located at the railway junction Berlin-Amsterdam and Cologne-Hamburg. The city center is a 15-minute walk from Osnabrück Central Station.

Buses from platform 1 go to the city center. The nearest stops at the castle are "Neumarkt" or "Universität/OsnabrückHalle".

The nearest airports are: Münster Osnabrück, Bremen, Hanover, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn and Frankfurt. There are regular trains to Osnabrück from Hanover, Bremen, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn. However, you must first travel from the airport to the respective central station (by S-Bahn, taxi etc). In Frankfurt there is a long-distance train station directly below the airport.

Another inexpensive alternative for travelling to Osnabrück is the now well-developed German and European long-distance bus network. The bus stop for the long-distance bus network is at Eisenbahnstraße, 49074 Osnabrück.

Osnabrück can be reached by car from Hamburg/Cologne via the A1, from Amsterdam and Berlin via the A30 and from Bielefeld via the A33.
