Research Group "Vocational Education with a Focus on Didactics and Teacher Education"

The research focusses on the study of vocational didactics, which is a central component of teaching in vocational education. Current discourses and the central didactic topics and tasks in vocational education are included in teaching, e.g. curriculum development, heterogeneity, competence orientation, examinations and diagnostics, learning methods and media, learning and motivation theories, inclusion, sustainability and digitalization. In research, the focus is, for example, on qualifications research, skills research, cooperation between learning venues, interlinking training and further education, training and teaching research, teaching-learning research, diagnostics and curriculum research.
