The Department of Vocational Education Studies at Osnabrück University

The Department of Vocational Education Studies at Osnabrück University was founded in 1984 as part of the Institute of Education.

The Department's research focus, among other, lies on:

• Analysis of structure and organization of national as well as international VET systems,
• didactics,
• biographies of learners in VET, and
• professional skills development of VET personnel.

In addition, the Department of Vocational Education Studies is involved in vocational teacher education. Our degree program is research-oriented. The various teaching formats include lectures, research seminars, and project seminars. 

The department is also involved in supervising PhD students.
