Effects of tolerated training on the educational integration of young refugees
Brief description
The project aims to shed light on the legal novelty of the Ausbildungsduldung, which has hardly been researched to date, against the background of its impact on the (educational) trajectories of young refugees. In (inter)national research on "civic stratification", there is a broad consensus that residence status plays a central role in the social and professional positioning of refugees. However, residence status as a dimension of social inequality is currently still emphasized by the training toleration.
Based on the current state of research, it is not yet possible to answer how existing heteronomous influences on career choice affect young people's training trajectories in the long term. Previous research has primarily focused on the transition into vocational training. The study now focuses on the subsequent vocational training path of young people. The aim is to address the question of the extent to which the training toleration period, which is linked solely to the completion of vocational training and thus to the successful provision of integration services, has an impact on the training paths of young refugees.
